Start Here: About the blogs

A hiking, backpacking, and mountaineering blog from a former National Park Service Lead Wilderness Ranger and Search and Rescue team member. I became a Permanent Resident of Canada in December of 2024 and moved to Whistler in February 2025. 

I’m starting this blog as I see a need for hiking beta in the Whistler/Squamish/Sea to Sky area. 

I have been looking for information on hikes in the area and there are a couple great bloggers, but otherwise I have failed to find information out there. If I'm missing something, please let me know!

The goal of this blog is to be honest. Not a gimmicky click bait of “15 hikes you MUST do”. I’m just documenting the hikes, and capturing the moments along the way through photography and stories paired with it. 

How can you use this blog:

-to see pretty pictures

-get inspired to go hike

-learn current trail conditions

-maybe learn something about the natural area such as glacial mass loss
