Whistler summit to Flute Summit/Garibaldi Park border

Lila and I set out somewhat late and decided to make our way as far as we could to Russet lake before the last gondola ride down at 5:15pm. We took the gondola to the Rendezvous and then walked over to Peak Chair. We saw six marmots on a rock just below the Rendezvous.
From peak chair we followed the service rd which goes steeply downhill and then onto the high note trail. I think it would be easier to follow the service rd as the high note trail was steep and rocky. We ended up turning around at the top of Flute where the border of Garibaldi Park is.
Incredible views of Cheakamus Lake, Overlord Mountain, and Decker (which we had climbed earlier this month).
The wildflowers on the entire hike were incredible.
We took the musical bumps trail back to the Rendezvous. The download line for the gondola was crazy busy for a Monday. We ended up taking the Peak 2 Peak gondola over to Blackcomb and had the entire gondola to ourselves.
